How to Use This Pond Filter

1. Initial Setup: Connect the inlet and outlet hosetails, ensuring they are cut to the appropriate size (20/25/32/40mm) for your pump and pond setup. Place the filter in its desired location, noting it can be buried up to its lid for concealment. Connect your pond pump to the filter’s inlet.
2. Power Connection: Connect the 5-meter outdoor cable to a suitable outdoor power source. Please note, the cable is supplied without a plug fitted, requiring professional installation or a suitable plug to be added.
3. Operation: Once the pump is running, water will flow through the multi-stage filtration system: first through mechanical sponges, then biological bio balls, and finally past the UV clarifier, before returning to the pond under pressure.
4. Back-Flush Cleaning: When the cleaning indicator turns red, signifying a need for cleaning, simply twist the top knob to the “CLEAN” position. Dirty water will then exit via the waste outlet. This waste water can be effectively used to nourish garden plants.
5. Easy-Clean Function (Thorough Cleaning): For a more thorough cleaning of the foam filters and UVC unit, follow these steps:
   1. Shut off your pond pump.
   2. Turn the switch on the filter to the “Cleaning” position.
   3. Turn your pond pump back on.
   4. Pull and push the cleaning handle repeatedly.
   5. Continue until clear water appears from the waste outlet, then switch the filter back to the “Filter” position and turn off the pump before restarting normal operation.
