Its 5-layer filter basket system allows layering of different filtration media — sponges or foam for mechanical filtration, activated carbon or other media for chemical filtration, bio-rings or ceramic media for biological filtration, and additional polishing or specialty media for water clarity or detoxification. This flexibility makes it suitable for freshwater, planted, shrimp, or even marine aquariums.

The model’s high flow capacity ensures rapid turnover of tank water, helping maintain stable oxygen levels and efficient waste removal. The “U” variant includes a built-in UV sterilizer to help suppress algae, bacteria, and pathogens — especially useful in densely stocked tanks or planted aquaria where clarity and water quality are vital. The unit is powered by a 26 W pump, yet remains relatively silent compared to many external filters, making it well-suited even for home aquariums where noise is a concern.

Maintenance is made easy thanks to quick-disconnect couplings, a convenient priming system, and a drain valve at the base for simple water changes or cleaning. How to Use & Maintain

1. Connect inlet and outlet hoses securely, ensuring proper orientation of valves and clamps.
2. Prime the pump using the built-in priming mechanism before the first use.
3. Fill the filter media baskets as per your filtration needs — mechanical media on top, biological media in the middle, chemical/polishing media at the bottom or as per preference.
4. Install the canister outside the aquarium; route hoses through a central conduit or behind cabinet to keep setup tidy.
5. Use the adjustable flow control valve to tune water circulation according to your tank setup and fish sensitivity.
6. Perform media maintenance every 4–6 weeks: open quick-disconnect couplings, empty canister, rinse mechanical media, and replace chemical media as needed.
7. Use the bottom drain valve to safely remove water during maintenance without disconnecting hoses.
8. If algae, bacterial blooms or water cloudiness occurs — consider enabling the UV sterilizer function (on U-variant) while ensuring the unit is properly sealed and powered off when servicing.
