How to Use This External Canister Filter

1. Place the canister filter below or beside the aquarium in a stable, upright position where it can be accessed for maintenance.
2. Open the filter and arrange the supplied sponge or pads along with your chosen media such as ceramic rings, bio balls, activated carbon, or fine filter floss.
3. Connect the inlet and outlet hoses using the 16/22mm pipe fittings and ensure all hose connections are tight and correctly seated.
4. Install the inlet pipe inside the aquarium where it can pull water efficiently without being blocked by plants, décor, or substrate.
5. Install the outlet pipe or spray bar so filtered water returns evenly to the tank and provides suitable surface movement.
6. Fill the canister with aquarium water if needed, close it securely, and use the priming button to start water flow through the system.
7. Plug in the filter only after water is flowing into the canister and check for leaks, trapped air, or unusual noise during startup.
8. Allow the filter to run continuously to support beneficial bacteria and stable aquarium water quality.

Care & Maintenance Tips

• Clean the filter sponge and mechanical pads regularly using removed aquarium water, not untreated tap water, to protect beneficial bacteria.
• Do not replace all filter media at the same time, as this can disturb the biological filtration cycle.
• Rinse or replace fine filter floss when water flow reduces or visible debris builds up.
• Use high-quality ceramic rings or porous bio media in one or more trays for stronger biological filtration.
