Transform your pond into a thriving, crystal-clear aquatic haven with the Jebao CBF 8000 Pressurised UV Pond Filter with 11W UV. This high-performance filter is engineered to provide superior water purification through its multi-stage filtration process, effectively tackling common pond issues like murky water and stubborn green algae. By combining mechanical, biological, and ultraviolet (UV) filtration, it ensures comprehensive cleaning, removing debris, harmful toxins, and microscopic algae for a balanced and healthy pond ecosystem.

The CBF 8000 is not only powerful but also designed for utmost convenience. Its innovative pressure system allows water to exit under pressure, making it ideal for supplying waterfalls or streams with clean, treated water. With user-friendly features like an integrated cleaning indicator and a simple back-flush system, maintaining optimal filter performance has never been easier, significantly reducing the time and effort typically associated with pond upkeep. The robust design also permits partial burial, allowing the filter to be discreetly integrated into your garden landscape.

Specifications

The Jebao CBF series offers a range of pressurised pond filters, each designed to meet specific pond volume requirements. The CBF 8000 model, detailed below, provides powerful and efficient filtration for medium to large ponds, ensuring clarity and health.

Note: The CBF-8000 filter includes two different grades of sponge media. Bio balls are generally not included with filters smaller than CBF-12000. Cable length for this model is 5 meters (no plug fitted).

How to Use This Pond Filter

Installing and operating your Jebao CBF 8000 Pressurised UV Pond Filter is straightforward, ensuring optimal performance for a healthy pond environment.

1. Initial Setup: Connect the inlet and outlet hosetails. Ensure the hosetails are cut to the appropriate size (20/25/32/40mm compatible) for your pond pump and water return system. The filter can be partially buried to the lid for a concealed installation.
2. Mechanical Filtration (Stage 1): Water first passes through two different grades of sponge media, which physically traps larger debris and particles, ensuring initial clarity.
3. Biological Filtration (Stage 2): Following mechanical filtration, water passes through the filter's biological section where beneficial bacteria convert harmful ammonia and nitrites. While bio balls are typically included with larger models (CBF-12000 and CBF-15000), the CBF 8000's design and media promote essential biological activity to maintain water quality.
4. UV Clarification (Stage 3): Finally, the integrated 11W UV lamp, enclosed in quartz glass, eliminates single-celled algae, viruses, and bacteria, preventing green water and promoting clearer, healthier pond water.
5. Pressure Exit: Cleaned water exits the filter under pressure, which is beneficial for creating waterfalls or running streams where uphill flow is required.

Care & Maintenance Tips

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and efficiency of your Jebao CBF 8000 Pressurised UV Pond Filter. Follow these tips for a consistently clean and healthy pond.

• Monitor Cleaning Indicator: Keep an eye on the maintenance indicator. When it turns red, it signifies that the filter sponges require cleaning.
• Easy Back-Flush Cleaning: Utilize the convenient back-flush system for effortless cleaning. When the indicator is red, twist the top knob to "CLEAN".
• Back-Flush Procedure: First, shut off your pond pump. Turn the filter switch to "Cleaning". Turn the pump back on. Pull and push the cleaning handle repeatedly until clean water appears from the waste outlet. Then, switch the knob back to "Filter" and turn off the pump.
• Beneficial Waste Water: The dirty water flushed during the back-flush process is rich in nutrients and can be safely used to water your garden plants.
• Pond Capacity Considerations: Remember that the quoted pond capacities (e.g., 9000L shaded) are for lightly stocked ponds. Full sun exposure or heavy fish stocking will reduce the effective capacity of the filter.
• Optimal Flow Rate: For best results, the maximum flow rate for your pump should generally be about half the total pond volume per hour. The CBF 8000 is suitable for a maximum flow of 4000 LPH.
• UV Lamp Maintenance: Periodically check and replace the UV lamp as its effectiveness diminishes over time, typically annually, to ensure continuous algae control.
