Jebao CBF 12000 Pressurised UV Pond Filter with 24W UV

Jebao CBF 12000 Pressurised UV Pond Filter with 24W UV: Achieve Crystal Clear Pond Water with Advanced Filtration

The Jebao CBF 12000 Pressurised UV Pond Filter is an essential solution for maintaining a clear and healthy pond ecosystem. This robust filter employs a multi-stage filtration process that tackles common pond water issues, from suspended particles to unsightly green algae. It starts with two grades of sponge media for superior mechanical filtration, effectively trapping debris. This is followed by biological filtration, utilizing bio balls to cultivate beneficial bacteria that break down harmful toxins. Finally, an integrated 24W UV clarifier with quartz glass eliminates single-celled algae, ensuring your pond water remains sparkling clear.

Designed for convenience, this pressurised pond filter features a unique back-flush cleaning system, allowing for quick and efficient maintenance without disassembling the unit. A built-in cleaning indicator signals when flushing is required, simplifying upkeep. Its durable design allows it to be buried to the lid for discreet integration into your garden landscape, while the ability for water to exit under pressure makes it ideal for feeding waterfalls and streams.

How to Use This Pond Filter

1. Initial Setup: Connect your pond pump to the filter's inlet using appropriate hose sizes (20/25/32/40mm) and connect the outlet to your desired water return or waterfall. Ensure all connections are secure.
2. Positioning: Place the filter in a stable location, preferably where it can be partially buried to the lid for concealment.
3. Power On: Once hoses are connected and the filter is in position, switch on your pond pump. The filter will begin its multi-stage cleaning process.
4. Monitor Cleaning Indicator: Observe the cleaning indicator. When it turns red, it signifies that the foam filters require back-flushing.
5. Back-Flush Cleaning Process:
   1. Shut off the pond pump.
   2. Turn the switch on the filter head to the “Cleaning” position.
   3. Turn the pond pump back on.
   4. Pull and push the cleaning handle repeatedly to flush the foam filters and UVC unit.
   5. Continue until clean water exits via the waste outlet.
   6. Shut off the pump again once clean.
   7. Turn the switch back to the “Filter” position.
   8. Turn the pump back on to resume normal filtration.

Care & Maintenance Tips for Your Pond Filter

• Perform regular back-flushing as indicated by the cleaning indicator to maintain optimal filtration efficiency.
• Utilize the dirty waste water from back-flushing to nourish garden plants, as it is rich in nutrients.
• Ensure the UV lamp is functioning correctly. While designed for longevity, UV lamps have a lifespan and may need replacement periodically to maintain algae-killing effectiveness (typically annually for best results, though not explicitly stated for this product, it's a general UV filter best practice).
• Periodically check hose connections to ensure they remain secure and free from leaks.
• For optimal performance, ensure the maximum flow rate of your pump does not exceed half of the quoted pond volume per hour for your specific pond conditions (e.g., 6000 LPH for CBF-12000).
• While the filter comes with bio balls (for this model), consider periodic checks of your biological media to ensure it is healthy and not clogged.
