Quantum Freshwater Essential® Plant Essential® Aqua Pro KH™ is a scientifically formulated KH conditioner designed to gently increase carbonate hardness (KH) in freshwater aquarium environments. By raising KH, the product helps maintain a stable pH, reducing the risk of harmful fluctuations that can impair the health of fish, shrimp, plants, and other aquatic inhabitants.

How It Works

The supplement contains high‑purity KH buffer salts that dissolve completely in water, providing a balanced increase in carbonate hardness. This buffer enhances the water’s ability to resist pH changes, supporting efficient biochemical processes essential for a thriving aquarium ecosystem.

• American & Australian: 3‑6 dKH
• Tropical & Community: 1‑3 dKH

Dosage Instructions

1. Do not add powder directly to the aquarium. Dissolve the product in a separate container filled with aquarium water.

2. Add the dissolved solution to an area of high water flow in the tank.

3. Calculate the dose using the formula: total volume of aquarium and external filter minus the volume occupied by media, rocks, ornaments, etc.

Typical dosing: 5 g per 100 L (≈26 US gal) raises KH by ~1.4 dKH.

When dosing for a water change, only dose for the volume of water being changed. Do not use when replacing evaporated water.

One level scoop is approximately 5 g.
