Why pH Stability Matters

In freshwater ecosystems, pH influences the efficiency of biochemical processes that keep fish, shrimp, and plants healthy. Uncontrolled fluctuations can lead to stress, reduced growth, and even mortality. Maintaining a stable pH is therefore a cornerstone of successful aquarium husbandry.

This product is specially designed to safely increase the pH of your tank water. Its high‑purity, balanced formulation contains only two ingredients: de‑ionised water and potassium carbonate. The absence of unnecessary additives makes it ideal for sensitive species and delicate planted systems.

Universal Compatibility

Because of its robust nature, Aqua Pro pH Up™ can be used in all freshwater environments, including:

• Planted tanks (low‑tech and high‑tech)
• Fish‑only displays
• Freshwater shrimp habitats
• Ponds

It works across a wide range of regional water parameters, from African Rift Lakes (pH 7.8‑9.2) to South American soft‑water setups (pH 6.0‑7.0).

Precise Dosing Guidelines

Accurate dosing is essential for gradual pH adjustment. Use the following formulas based on your tank volume (excluding rocks, media, and ornaments):

• 10 drops per 10 L (≈2.6 US gal) raises pH by ~0.2
• ½ capful (≈10 mL) per 100 L (≈26 US gal) raises pH by ~0.2

Do not increase pH by more than 0.3 per day. Start with a smaller amount, test the water, and adjust as needed. Note that 20 drops ≈ 1 mL and 1 capful ≈ 10 mL.

Application Instructions

• No shaking required – pour directly into a strong water flow.

• This product cannot be used with a dosing pump.

• For best results, add the supplement after calculating the effective water volume (tank + filter water minus all displaced volume).
