Fritz Liquid General Hardness (GH) Test Kit

Fritz Liquid General Hardness (GH) Test Kit

Fritz GH Test Kit measures general hardness — the total dissolved calcium and magnesium content in your aquarium. Essential for fish growth, shell development, plant health, and invertebrate molting.

Why It Matters

• Tracks calcium & magnesium levels for optimal livestock health
• Helps guide adjustments using RO Recharge or Rift Lake Cichlid Salt
• Targets: freshwater 4–8 dGH (70–140 ppm); Softwater <4 dGH; Rift/African cichlids >8 dGH

How to Test

1. Fill test tube to 5 mL line with sample.
2. Add reagent one drop at a time (dropper kept vertical).
3. Shake gently after each drop.
4. Stop when color shifts from orange to green.
5. Drop count equals GH value in °dGH; refer to chart for ppm.
