Aquael FZN PRO 1500 Hang On Cascade Filter for Aquarium 200-300L
The FZN PRO 1500 brings a new level of quiet, convenience, and customization to aquarium filtration. With a powerful 1370‑litre‑per‑hour flow and a 13‑watt motor, it cleanly processes 200‑300 L tanks—perfect for both freshwater and marine setups. Its motors sit underwater, eliminating the start‑up wait and ensuring the filter boots instantly after a power cut. Adjustable intake tube, performance knob, and circular regulator let you tailor the water drop, flow, and spout height to your exact tank geometry.
Its slim 9.5 cm external housing hides the entire system, keeping the aquarium’s aesthetic clean while providing a large, capacious media chamber that accepts ready‑made cartridges or bulk media in layered configurations. Additional features include a low‑noise 32 dB signature, rubber pads against glass contact to reduce vibration, and clear‑exit outlet for smooth water flow. Whether you’re an aquascaper, shrimp trader, or marine enthusiast, the FZN PRO 1500 delivers professional‑grade filtration with minimal fuss.

How to Use This External Cascade Filter
- Mount the filter on the aquarium rim. Ensure it’s level and the intake tube is positioned above the substrate.
- Fill the media chamber: add ready‑made cartridges or your own bulk media. Pack up to six cartridge slots.
- Set the intake tube length using the telescopic adjustment to match your tank’s substrate height.
- Adjust the flow strength with the top‑mounted control knob – this sets the water velocity for optimal filtration without stressing fish.
- Use the circular regulator to set the spout height, aligning the bright, smooth water drop with your tank’s aesthetic.
- Connect the power cord to a 230 V EU plug, plug in, and turn on. The submerged motor starts immediately; no priming required.
- Optional: attach the skimmer to the intake tube to remove surface debris. Rotate the top of the skimmer so it sits just above the water line during feeding.
Care & Maintenance Tips
- Check and replace cartridges every 4–6 weeks or as indicated by your filter’s consumption rate.
- Clean the sponge and impeller once a month by rinsing in fresh water or a mild detergent solution.
- Ensure the intake tube remains clear of debris; unclog if you notice a drop in flow.
- Inspect rubber pads regularly for wear and seal any gaps to reduce vibration.
- Do not remove the filter during feeding; turn the skimmer above the water line to prevent premature filtration of food.
- Check the motor housing for any signs of moisture condensation and dry thoroughly after power outages.
